Food movement pioneer Joel Salatin's business card reads: 'Food Choice Advocate, Dream Doer.' He describes his occupation as "mob-stocking herbivorous solar conversion lignified carbon sequestration fertilization." Salatin was featured in Michael Pollan's Omnivore's Dilemma and is a now a popular speaker across the country, inspiring thousands with his humorous and conviction-based lectures. He has written nine books and the most recent, Folks, This Ain't Normal, conveys the gravity of the ecological and cultural crisis our country is facing.
